Nicole Breen serves as the inaugural Chief Human Resources Officer for Harvard University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences FAS. In this role, she leads the FAS human resources organization and advances efforts to attract, develop, and support the talented people who make the Faculty’s teaching and research mission possible.

Nicole brings nearly three decades of human resources leadership experience at Harvard, having held roles of increasing responsibility at Harvard Medical School and in Harvard Human Resources. Prior to joining the FAS, she served as Managing Director of HR Consulting and Policy, where she led the team responsible for delivering human resources services to Harvard’s Central Administration and oversaw the University’s HR policy governance.
