Zak Gingo is the Chief of Campus Operations. In this position, he leads a department dedicated to stewarding and improving FAS’s physical campus of diverse facilities, overseeing 100 professional staff and a $450 million budget to support campus planning, capital construction, operations and related services across the 11 million GSF, and 280 buildings of the FAS and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences campuses.

Prior to working for Harvard, Zak was an associate at L.E.K. Consulting and a Principal at Case Strategy, LLC. He joined the FAS in 2001 as Manager of Administrative Operations in the Office of Physical Resources and Planning (OPRP). Over the past 23 years, Zak has worked in positions of increasing responsibility, supporting a range of facilities operations. He was appointed Associate Dean in 2019. Zak is a member of Harvard’s Board of Freshmen Advisors, serving as an academic advisor to first-year students.

Zak received his BA degree from Harvard College, and his MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School.
