# Leadership Opportunities in the New FAS Administrative Model

June 11, 2026

Dear colleagues,

As you know, the FAS has undertaken a [workforce planning effort](https://www.fas.harvard.edu/fas-task-force-workforce-planning) to design a new administrative model that will be more coordinated and deeply connected to the work that happens in our academic departments and divisions, while better positioning us to address the financial pressures we face. We will implement the new model later this summer.

A critical next step in bringing the model to life is getting key leaders in place to support the transition. To that end, we will be recruiting for a number of positions across administrative functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Research Administration, Administration and Finance, and Faculty Affairs. These roles were created specifically to support the new model. The staff who step into them will guide implementation and ensure that our administrative structure can effectively support our community for years to come.

In my short time in the FAS, I have met many talented colleagues with deep experience and expertise. I hope all interested staff will consider applying for these positions, which are now posted on the [Careers@Harvard site](https://careers.harvard.edu/) and the [FAS HR Talent Acquisition](https://hr.fas.harvard.edu/talentacquisition) page. We will conduct a streamlined and expedited recruitment process, with the goal of having these leaders in place as soon as possible to support a smooth transition. Resumes will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and interviews will begin immediately, so we encourage anyone interested to apply promptly. Of note, cover letters will not be required. Please be in touch with [Robin Ketterer](mailto:ketterer@fas.harvard.edu), FAS Director of Talent Acquisition Consulting with any questions.

These positions represent one part of the broader implementation effort, and we will continue to share additional information about organizational design, reporting structures, and transition planning as decisions are finalized.

I know this has been a difficult and uncertain time for our community. Thank you for your patience, professionalism, and continued dedication to the FAS and our mission. We remain committed to communicating openly and with care as we move through this transition together.

Sincerely,

Warren
