# Faculty Support Services

## About Our Team

Faculty Support Services provides direct administrative support to eligible faculty across FAS through standardized Faculty Assistant and Faculty Coordinator roles. The team supports faculty with calendars, travel, expenses, purchasing, correspondence, meetings, events, visitors, and teaching- or research-related administrative needs, while also providing consistent training, backup coverage, role boundaries, and flexible support based on departmental needs. The service also helps departments manage faculty-support assignments, obtain backup or high-volume assistance, and explore additional buy-up support when eligible.

Within Faculty Support Services, the **Faculty Support Shared Services Team** provides flexible, centralized assistance to departments when additional capacity or specialized support is needed. The team supports Concur and Buy-to-Pay requests for non-ladder faculty, provides backup departmental coverage and event staffing, maintains web content, assists with high-volume recommendation letters, and arranges basic course materials such as photocopies, textbooks, and library reserves.

Operational readiness will vary department by department, with the hope to be fully operational FAS-wide by mid-October 2026.
