The SEAS Dean’s Dialogue will be a panel discussion that explores the challenge of aligning artificial intelligence systems with human values, examining how tensions between safety, personalization, and pluralism shape the future of AI design. By presenting differing viewpoints, the discussion will surface the technical, ethical, and societal stakes of AI alignment, and help our community better understand the complexity of designing AI that is both safe and inclusive. Panelists include: **Smitha Milli,** research scientist at Meta Superintelligence Labs, **Flavio du Pin Calmon,** Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at SEAS, **Bailey Flanigan,** Assistant Professor of Political Science and Computer Science at MIT, **Boaz Barak,** Professor of Comupter Science at SEAS, and **Ariel Procaccia,** Professor of Computer Science at SEAS.
