Access

Access to the Harvard yard and buildings is strictly monitored. Students, academic departments, and contractors must request vehicle or building access by following the procedures outlined below:

Student Group Access
Student groups must request freshmen dorm access and office keys by filling out the student access form (pdf). The form must be filled out completely then submitted to the dean of students office in University Hall. Yard Operations will confirm with your student group when the request has been fulfilled. Please allow a minimum of three days for requests to be processed.

Academic Department and Contractor Access
Departments and contractors must submit card and key access requests for Harvard Yard buildings via the contractor/department access form (pdf). Please allow a minimum of three days for requests to be processed.

Vehicle Access
Residents, departments, and contractors needing access to Harvard Yard must make their request via the two forms below:
