This is a section about radios on the Internet. With the rapid development of new technologies, it is now possible to listen to radio and to watch television programs on the Internet from far corners of the world without waiting for long downloading time. A good example is the RTHK on the Internet. Audience in the United States can see and listen to the radio and television programs 24 hours a day from Hong Kong and China in three different langauges:
  • Chinese Mandarin
  • Cantonese and
  • English

The RTHK on the Internet is a joint venture of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Radio Television of Hong Kong. It has been serving a world wide audience for about five years (since 1993) using RealAudio and streaming technologies.
