Office Access

Both the License to Occupy and Office Access Forms must be on file with the SOCH Manager's Office in order for access to be activated.

Student organizations control who has access to their respective office by completing an Office Access Form. This form can be found on the SOCH website and submitted to the Manager of the SOCH at the start of each semester. The staff of the SOCH program office doors based on the list provided. The president of the organization (or equivalent) must sign this form. Students with authorized access to individual offices must be registered members of that organization, as well as registered students of Harvard College.

If a student is no longer a member of an organization, or access to an office needs to be changed, it is the organization’s responsibility to submit a new Office Access Form with a complete list of all authorized students to the Manager of SOCH. Regardless of changes throughout the term, at the start of each academic year, student organizations must submit a new Office Access Form.

Student organizations will also be required to submit an Office Access Form for the summer months of June, July, and August.

Policies and Procedures

Student groups are expected to be familiar with all policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Policies Manual.

Summer Access
Eligibility: Documented need for space during the summer months. Existing office space has been renewed for next academic year.
Term: June 23, 2008 through August 15, 2008 (Summer School term)
Access: Students registered on the Summer Access Form (attached) will be granted access to the main door as well as the 2nd and 3rd levels of Hilles 7 days a week 7am-11:30pm. It is the responsibility of the students to vacate the building by 11:30pm each night. Any violation of this rule will result in loss of access for all members of the organization. The SOCH does not support or host student organization sponsored events and programs during the summer. Students are permitted only to use their respective offices during the hours designated in this agreement.
Application: Submit signed Summer License to Occupy 2008 along with the Summer Access Form. Access lists are to be limited to students who are in the Cambridge/Bostons area for the summer.
Deadline: May 18, 2008
