Request to Reserve a Classroom, Lecture Hall, or Arcade

FAS courses, course sections, academic and administrative events: to schedule a classroom, lecture hall, or arcade scheduled by Science Center Building Operations within the Science Center, submit room requests online through FAS RoomBook.

Science Center classrooms, lecture halls, and arcades are part of the FAS classroom inventory. We follow the academic calendar. Courses have priority in all rooms scheduled by Science Center Building Operations. Please allow 2-3 business days to process your room request. During the start of each term, event requests are triaged and processed once all courses assignments are completed. Weekday events for the fall and spring term will be processed around a week after Study Card Day.

Non-Harvard classes: The instruction of students in a Science Center classroom requires approval from one of the academic departments at Harvard. A room request would have to be submitted by a Harvard department administrator or member of the Faculty.

A reminder of a few Science Center policies

  • The area used should be left as clean and orderly as when your group arrives. If custodial services is required contact Building Operations at sc_sched@fas.harvard.edu.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in any Science Center classroom or lecture hall.
  • Up to ten tables and six easels are available to be reserved for events. Contact Building Operations at sc_sched@fas.harvard.edu.
  • Posters may be hung only on the blue bulletin board directly opposite the elevators on the first floor.
  • A uniformed police officer must be on duty if any money changes hands within the Science Center or if alcoholic beverages are being served.
