REISCHAUER INSTITUTE DISSERTATION PRODUCTION GRANTS

The Edwin O. Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies will provide small grants (maximum $500) to help cover word-processing, binding, or other costs for the final draft of the dissertation to qualified Harvard doctoral candidates in the field of Japanese studies in the humanities or social sciences.

Application Process

Please submit a complete application consisting of the following:

1. Curriculum vitae -- include:
   

• Citizenship
• Social Security number
• Harvard ID number
• Current/permanent address, tel. number(s), email address

2. Date PhD degree to be awarded
3. Academic department and field of study.
4. Name of thesis advisor
5. Thesis abstract (1 page)
6. Itemized budget
