The website has a search engine for Diet proceedings of the Empire of Japan written between September 1946 and March 1948. It features debates among members of the Diet discussing Japan's "new" constitution. Users can conduct searches based on keywords, speakers' names, dates, and the House in which the proceedings were made. The proceedings are written in old Japanese. This website also contains links to 1) the Search Engine for Diet Proceedings, 2) the Search Engine for Japanese Ordinances, and 3) the National Diet Library online exhibition "Birth of the Constitution of Japan."

This website contains a search engine dedicated to Diet Proceedings. Users can look for proceedings made in and after May 1948 based on keywords, speakers' names, dates, and the House in which the proceedings were made. (For example, the users can look for comments regarding constitutional revision made by former Prime Minister Koizumi by inputting " 小泉(Koizumi)" in the speaker-column, and " 憲法改正(constitutional revision)" in the words-column. ) Many statements made by the Members of the Diet regarding various issues can be accessed easily, however in a non-summarized form.

This online exhibition project, sponsored by the National Diet Library, focuses exclusively on the origin of the current constitution. It features brief descriptions and profiles of people and institutions that took important roles in the establishment of the Constitution of Japan. It provides a short introduction to each historical event that took place in 1946. The website also has many high-resolution images of historically significant documents related to the birth of the current constitution. The website is easy to navigate and is also available in English.

However, the website only provides the descriptions and locations of the documents but not their contents. The real documents are microfilmed and preserved in the National Diet Library.

This website is a database of a large collection (more than 7,300 titles) of magazines, newspapers and books published in Japan during the post-war occupation period from 1945 to 1949. Many of the publications are stored in a repository at the University of Maryland, and cannot be found in libraries in Japan. (However, the National Diet Library in Japan and the University of Maryland are currently under a joint project to microfilm this collection. The website provides useful descriptions of the collected publications, but not their contents.
