Enhanced Utilization of GMAS

Helia Morris, OSP -- Associate Director, Sponsored Programs Administration

The GMAS Rollout Implementation Plan (GRIP) was launched in November 2010. The GRIP team is headed by Heila Morris and Jessica Morand, and is partnering with FAD Systems Solutions (FSS) and other key partners in the schools to implement GMAS across University-area schools.

The GRIP team has held kickoff events at SEAS, GSE, FAS-RAS, and the Divinity School and has worked with FSS on GMAS security infrastructure and system enhancements. Collaborating with the university-wide training team, URATT, the GRIP team has also conducted a training needs assessment and has created a training plan for end users.

The team looks forward to implementing GMAS at SEAS, GSE, the Divinity School, and 5 FAS pilot departments over the next six months.

Department Administrator Access to Fastlane and eRA

Pamela Baker-Weber, FAS RAS -- Sponsored Research Administrator

Christopher Kelly, OSP -- Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist

View presentation slides for a complete overview of why and how to use administrator accounts for Fastlane and eRA commons.

In eRA Commons, PIs can delegate certain responsibilities to their administrators. This allows
administrative users to edit personal information for a PI, build and edit eSNAP reports, view submission details, and work on xTrain. Find eRA Commons PI delegation instructions here.

In Fastlane, PIs can assign PINs to proposals and/or awards; those proposals and awards can then be accessed via PIN by authorized users. For instructions on this process, click here.
