Placement

Below is information regarding the placement record of the philosophy department over the last sixteen years.

The directory is organized by the academic year in which students went on to the job market.

The left-hand column gives the graduate's name and the title of his or her dissertation. The right-hand column lists the person's current position, as well as past positions, if applicable.

All positions are tenure-track, or tenured, unless otherwise indicated.

Please note the following qualifications:

1. All and only students who currently have or who have had some form of academic employment are listed below. Therefore:

2. Students who sought jobs before finishing their degrees but have not yet secured a position and have not yet finished their degrees are not listed below.

3. Some of the students listed in the most recent years may not have received their degrees yet, and may not even have defended.

4. Students who finished their degrees in the years listed above but are still looking for their first tenure-track positions are listed below, so long as they have some form of academic employment.

Please send any updates or corrections to the Webmaster.
