Derek Parfit

Visting Professor Derek Parfit (BA, MA, Oxford) generally teaches in the Spring Term of alternating years. Professor Parfit's research is primarily in the areas of ethics and philosophy of mind. He is a Senior Research Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford and a Fellow of the British Academy and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is the author of Reasons and Persons (Oxford, 1984).
