Postdoctoral Position

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to assist in an interdisciplinary project on perception during the 2013-14 academic year. The position start date is August 1.

The primary goal of the project is to bring together recent philosophical and scientific literature on the relation between perception, cognition and action in the service of developing a positive model.

The fellow will work under the supervision of Professor Sean Kelly (philosophy) and be in close contact with other MBB faculty who support the project from the Philosophy and Psychology Departments.

Applicants must have a PhD in philosophy (concentration in philosophy of mind) or cognitive science (concentration in perception) combined with a demonstrated ability to bridge the two disciplines and engage in interdisciplinary research.

Harvard is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. Applications from women and minorities are strongly encouraged. If you are interested, please send letter of interest, CV, and two letters of recommendation (letters of recommendation must be sent directly by the recommender or from a dossier service) to Ruth Kolodney at ruth_kolodney@harvard.edu.  Application deadline: Friday, July 12.
