Farid Masrour's research focuses on philosophy of perception, and lies at the intersection of philosophy of mind, epistemology and the history of philosophy. It addresses issues of interest to philosophers of mind and cognitive scientists – for instance, what capacities are involved in perception – and answers questions traditionally raised by epistemologists – such as how perceptual experience is a source of knowledge about the world. His goal is to develop a unified account that is continuous with philosophical insights of the past while engaging present philosophical and scientific concerns.
