There are many advantages to participating in a formal, structured internship program, including increased support from program staff. If you are considering working for a nonprofit over the summer or want to take time off to explore opportu nities in the public interest, check out the programs listed below.
Center for Public Interest Careers
The Center for Public Interest Careers (CPIC) at Harvard connects Harvard College students and recent graduates with paid positions in public interest organizations across the United States By creating internships, fellowships, forums, workshops, and coordinating and mobilizing alumni/ae and campus resources, CPIC seeks to become a model for supporting the development of a new generation of graduates working for the public interest.
Institute of Politics
Summer Director's Program and Summer Stipend Program. David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies
Provides grants for travel and work in Latin America .
