Who We are

Sarah Rankin is the Director of the OSAPR. Sarah came to Harvard from Western Washington University in September 2006 where she was the Prevention and Wellness Services Health Educator and Violence Specialist. Sarahs main role as the OSAPR Director is to work one-on-one with students seeking support and resources after an assault, to make sure they have all the information they need to make decisions that feel right for them. Sarah shares on-call responsibilities with Heather, and certified graduate interns, so that Harvard students can access these resources anytime during the academic year. Sarah also acts as a liaison to off-campus service providers, including the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Beth Israel Hospital, and the Middlesex County District Attorney. Sarah supervises Response and the SASH advisers, and participates in many different College committees that address sexual violence and related factors. Stop by, email (rankin@fas.harvard.edu ) or call Sarah anytime at (617) 384-9081.

Heather Wilson Henderson is the Education Specialist of the OSAPR. Heather began working at Harvard in 2003. Heather shares on-call responsibilities with Sarah, and certified graduate interns, providing 24-hour accessibility to Harvard students. As the Education Specialist, Heather is working with the Harvard community to increase awareness and education about sexual assault and dating violence. Educational workshops are designed to be interactive and engaging while promoting healthy sexuality, communication skills, and consensual relationships. Sexual assault workshops may also include related topics such as alcohol use, risk reduction strategies, bystander intervention, media influences, or a range of topics that can be tailored to the audience. Contact Heather by e-mail (hwilson@fas.harvard.edu ) or phone: (617) 496-5636.

Gordon Braxton is the Prevention Specialist at OSAPR. Gordon came to Harvard in August 2005. He began working in sexual violence as an undergraduate peer educator in college. Gordon is responsible for developing educational outreach to the men of Harvard College. He works closely with the Education Specialist to provide programming for incoming Freshmen.
