Eva manages Harvard’s Office of International Education and is the Health and Safety Education Coordinator for the College. Working with the Dean of Undergraduate Education and the Director of Career, Research and International Opportunities, Eva ensures full collaboration with academic departments, advising offices and area centers. Providing direction and operational leadership for OIE staff, she also oversees the training of undergraduate student advisers and graduate student interns, and advises undergraduate students on the rich palette of study abroad offerings at Harvard College.

Eva came to Harvard in 2008 from the University of California’s Education Abroad Program, where she spent seven years as a member of the Academic Development unit, managing the development of new international programs and coordinating formal academic program reviews for EAP. She also worked as an International Academic Program Specialist for Latin America and Spain and collaborated extensively with University of California and international faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, she was the EAP representative to the UC Consortium for Language Learning and Teaching.

Originally from California, Eva grew up in Geneva, Switzerland, and accomplished all of her secondary schooling in the French language, graduating from the University of Geneva with a licence ès lettres in French, Philosophy and English. While pursuing her PhD at UC Santa Barbara, Eva was a Teaching Assistant, a Teaching Fellow and a Lecturer in the Department of French and Italian; worked in UCSB’s Instructional Development TA training program; and taught English as a Second Language. An experienced educator with private-sector expertise as a language arts consultant, she has extensive bilingual (French/English) curriculum development and staff training experience and values her teaching and advisory relationships with students.
