Harvard College-Sponsored Programs Abroad by World Region
Harvard College co-sponsors, in cooperation with the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, the Harvard School of Public
Health, Harvard Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, Harvard Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations,
and a number of North American and international universities, an exciting range of programs spanning five continents. These fall into
four categories:
Consortial programs
, in which Harvard is one of a group of member universities that each send a limited number of selected students
to study abroad at a particular site for a semester or year
Exchange Programs
, in which Harvard and/or other US-based institutions send a small number of students to study at a given university, while the equivalent
number of students from that university come to Harvard to study as visiting students
Harvard College Semester Study Abroad Programs
, in which a group of Harvard students attend a given university or universities abroad as visiting students for one or two semesters;
these students are fully immersed in the university and city in which they study, as local students
Harvard Summer School Study Abroad Programs
, in which students from any college or university, including Harvard, travel abroad during the summer to study with Harvard and/or
international faculty as part of a themed program of four to nine weeks in length
Students who have questions about participation in, application for, or funding for any of these unique international opportunities
