The Charles Eliot Norton Fellowship in Greek
Eligibility: undergraduate juniors and seniors; graduate students
Deadline: March 1
Granted for summer sessions or winter/spring terms at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. Because the
deadline for the program is January 15, students normally first apply for admission to the program, then (if admitted)
apply for the fellowship.
Address a one-page letter stating reasons for wanting to study at the School, qualifications
for doing so, and a projected budget of expenses to be covered by the award, to Prof. David Mitten, Chair of the
Committee on the Norton Fellowship, Department of the Classics, 204 Boylston Hall. The applicant
should also ask two faculty members to address letters of support for the applicant to the Committee on the Norton
Fellowship.

The Charles Segal Student Travel and Research Fellowship
Eligibility: undergraduates; graduate students
Deadline: March 15
Granted for summer travel connected with a specific program (e.g. Aestiva Romae Latinitas) or research project.
Applications available from Teresa Wu, 207 Boylston Hall. Please include a budget of projected expenses to be
covered by the award.
