Office for the Arts Music Programs
Music Lesson Subsidy Program
Through the Music
Lesson Subsidy Program, the OFA awards a limited number of subsidies
at the beginning of the fall semester to full-time Harvard undergraduates
who
otherwise could not afford to take instrumental or vocal lessons.
The selection committee awards subsidies on the basis of financial
need and demonstrated musical ability and/or promise. Applicants
may be asked to play for members of the Music Department. Each student's
progress is reviewed in January. If the student completes the first
semester lessons successfully and returns the request for renewal
form, subsidies continue for the second semester. For more information
call 495-8676.
