Figure Drawing Class

Boston artist Jon Imber emphasizes the development of students' personal expression in his weekly OFA Figure Drawing class at the Currier House Art Studio. Students work primarily from models and benefit from both individual and group critiques. The course is open to undergraduates and a limited number of graduate students. It meets weekly in the Art Studio at Currier House.

Course Description:

This course will provide personalized instruction in a variety of drawing techniques with an emphasis on personal expression. Different approaches and techniques will be suggested to beginners and advanced students will be encouraged to continue with approaches that they are developing. Work will be primarily from models; individual and group critiques will be held as often as possible.

Class limited to 15. Registration fee: $35.00 (Check or Term-Bill)

Students bring to first class: 18" X 24" newsprint pad, Vine or Willow charcoal, kneaded eraser.

Meets Wednesdays, 7:30-10:00 pm

Wednesday through Friday, September 17-19 , from 10 am - 5 pm, at the Office for the Arts, 74 Mt. Auburn Street (first come first serve, in person only).
Please note that space is limited for this class and demand is high.
