Locating the primary and secondary sources about Japan's cotton/textile industry from the Meiji period that consisted of "grey literature"
Audience:
Both Undergraduate and Graduate students as well as Researchers
Learning Objectives1
Participants will be able to:
- enhance skills and ability to utilize library resources and services
- understand various types of literature (primary and secondary sources: articles, statistics, opinion, news, etc.)
- understand concept of grey literature (producers, types, characteristics, and functions)
- select appropriate index databases for both primary and secondary resources
- select appropriate databases for grey literature on cotton/textile industry
- search appropriate databases effectively to locate relevant literature for the topic
- understand the strengths and weaknesses of relevant databases for the topic
- critically evaluate web sites for grey literature
- locate relevant literature on cotton/textile industry
- identify important primary and secondary sources for the topic
- obtain identified literature not available at one's own library through interlibrary loan (ILL) services
