- Educating Japanese Studies Librarians about contracting/licensing issues
- Working with librarians and library organizations in Japan to effect change
- Approaching vendors as necessary to effect changes desired by our community
Committee History
- 2000
Founded as a task force to study ways to improve access to digital resources from Japan
- 2002
Changed from task force to standing committee.
Adopted current name, "Digital Resources Committee"
