Japanese Studies Resources on the Web
This session emphasized the fact that when searching the web in Japanese, results can vary considerably depending on the form of Japanese script (hiragana, katakana, kanji) used to enter the search term. Universities and organizations in Japan are indeed embracing internationalization and globalization and trying to participate in the international online community. However the amount of information found in English on their web sites is still fairly minimal. See also
