Visit to the Japan Science and Technology Agency
An introduction to the many databases that are developed by the agency (highly scientific in nature) was followed by a visit to specific departments, where we were shown the journal request fulfillment process: the request is taken, the journal is searched and retrieved, article(s) photocopied, and finally the copies are packaged for delivery. The staff takes great pride in the efficiency of the workflow as well as in the quality of the photocopying service.
