Japanese Reference Books
Tsutomu Kawamoto delivered a fascinating presentation on Japanese reference materials. He was a knowledgeable, engaging speaker who brought in a variety of samples. Out of the
311 titles listed on the printout that he distributed to us, roughly one-third of them were shown in a "this is what you would use as a reference source if you got this type of question." Kawamoto showed a particular interest in publications from the Edo period. The items brought into the seminar room for display were extremely attractive.
