Distribution of Government Information
This section had three major components: (1) description of the overall organization of the Japanese government (illustrated with the government organization chart) to enable us to better understand what type of information is produced by which department; (2) overview of publications that are available free of charge or for purchase (the best place to look for government information is through the official portal for government information
e-Gov); (3) emphasis of the fact that online information rapidly becomes obsolete, so it is advisable that documents that are perceived as important be downloaded and saved for archival purposes.
