The Japan Foundation-National Diet Library Training Program for Japan Studies Information Specialist (JSIST) took place in Tokyo and Kyoto for three weeks from November 29 to December 17, 2004. Four librarians from the United States, Keiko Yokota-Carter (University of Washington), Eiichi Ito (The Library of Congress), Michiko Ito (University of Kansas) and Toshie Marra (University of California, Los Angeles) participated in the training program. A summary of each session of the program was provided by the four participants.
