How to reach us: Email is best, but calls are also okay; please limit office drop-bys. It’s best to give us at least a day to respond (much longer if you have an unusual request that’s essential for your show). We often go all weekend without checking email or voicemail.

What we do for A.R.T.:  As House Management, we supervise the ushering, concessions, parties, the Donut, lost and found, maintenance of public spaces, cleaning, security, and evacuation planning.  As Company Management, we are responsible for artist and guest staff relations, as well as managing artist apartments operated by the ART.

Our responsibility is to keep patrons, staff & students safe while providing a welcoming and pleasant theatre environment for everyone.

What we can do for HRDC:
o answer questions/complaints about things we do for A.R.T., and coordinate with HRDC in these areas
o employ students as ushers and donuteers and apartment help
o fix heating/cooling problems and other maintenance issues (call 5-5560 in an emergency if you’re unable to reach us)
o demonstrate how to unlock the Ex lobby crashbar so the door isn’t propped open during Ex shows
o help coordinate multiple shows and events happening on the same evening

Things we can’t help with:
o keys or keycards (except for donut keys) — see Michael Griggs
o tickets — see Box Office
o front-lobby posters — see the Press Office
o dressing rooms — see an HRDC board member or Michael Griggs

Rules that we enforce:
o Lobbies: Lobby furniture cannot be removed (even temporarily) or used in rehearsals without explicit permission. Spike tape cannot be used in the lobbies. The Ex Lobby is a public space as much as the West Lobby is and should always be completely free of props, tools, clothing, etc.  All lobbies must be returned to the condition you found it in. Check trash, stools, chairs, tables, curtians.
o Alcohol: Students cannot have alcohol at the Loeb without Tracy's permission. The permitting process takes at least a week.
o Closing time: Students cannot be in the building outside of donut hours (usually ending at midnight) without Michael Griggs’ permission. Please plan to be out by midnight so that the donuteer can leave. (Do not expect to linger inside past midnight while you wait for a shuttle.)
o Doors: Outside doors should never be propped open.
Please help us protect you and your property by making sure doors are fully closed whenever they are not in use.
