Fall 1986 Ex Season

The Dybbuk by Simon Ansky 11/13
Director: Linus Gelber
Producer: Margie Ingall
What the Butler Saw, 11/20
Elephant Man, 12/4

Thanks to Linus Gelber for sending me some info on his time here in HRDCLand. Below is some other info from him which I can't confirm exact dates through my sketchy records.

....There was a production of "Mother Courage" somewhere in there, directed by Dan, er, McGrath I think. There was a production of "Suicide in Bb" by Sam Shepard that was a student show directed by ART's David Wheeler, though that came early in a dark spot in the fall schedule and made for a third dark-horse mainstage show; maybe that was the year before your list started (there was another Shepard short on the bill, I forget which it was, it'll come to me. It's the one with the fish) ("ACTION"?). We went up in the first weeks of September, whenever it was.

There was a mainstage production of "The Tempest" directed by Patrick Bradford. All of these, I believe, were in my final four terms at Harvard. It's possible that "Mother Courage" might have been earlier, before I took a break for a couple of years and lived in Italy.

And how could we forget Alex (then Alec, if I remember right) Keshishian and his lip-sync MTV production of Wuthering Heights? That would have to be the spring of 1987. He went on to do "Truth or Dare," the Madonna documentary. "Wuthering Heights" featured Amy Brenneman in a song which she should have sung (like Mira Sorvino, Amy has a gorgeous singing voice).
