Building Engineering and Science Talent (BEST)
BEST is a public-private partnership working to increase the participation of women and minorities in science and engineering. They have written a number of reports that examine effective programs for broadening participation in science.

The Commission on Professionals in Science and Technology
CPST, which is an AAAS organization, monitors trends in science employment, with a focus on the status of women and minorities. They offer a variety of publications and data tables; some are free and some are not.

Committee on Women in Science and Engineering
The Committee on Women in Science and Engineering, which is part of the National Academies, collects and disseminates information regarding the education and employment of female scientists and engineers.

Diversity Web
Run by the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Diversity Web provides links to publications on diversity in higher education. Some of the publications are freely downloadable; some are available at a price.

Educational Policy Institute
The Educational Policy Institute researches issues relating to the costs and benefits of higher education. Many of their free publications examine the experience of minority students in college, including “Retaining Minority Students in Higher Education.”

National Campus Diversity Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education
An incomplete but useful website that discusses strategies for increasing diversity in higher education.

Project Kaleidoscope
Project Kaleidoscope is an alliance of faculty dedicated to building strong learning environments for undergraduates in science, math, and engineering. The site contains descriptions of best practices for improving undergraduate science, math, and engineering education. Although it is not specifically aimed at diversity, this Web site is a useful resource for science educators.
