Lobster Pod , 2001

birch, pine, maple, steel.

This project combines three wooden legs found in a scrap-wood container in Worcester MA and a lobster pot that I found in Somerville MA. A laminated veneer hoop, secured by bronze rivets in the tradition of a Shaker oval box, connects the legs together and supports the bin.
