DISCUSSION BOARD: We now have a class discussion board which you may use to post comments or questions about the lectures, sections, or homework, or to respond to each other's comments. PLEASE do not post homework code here - if you have a problem or question involving code, please send it to the course staff at libe50b@fas.harvard.edu, and one of us will answer as soon as we see it. The discussion board is also linked at right under Frequent Links. Note that you will need to register (this is NOT your HUID or your FAS computer account) to be able to see the board and post on it. FEBRUARY 7, 2012 VIDEOS: The videos of yesterday's lecture are now available at right. Please print the slides and programs prior to viewing the lecture. The section video is also posted - there is an additional half hour included (as Part 2) covering FAS account info, writing and compiling programs, submitting homework, etc. You can find the link to Part 2 right underneath the video window in the interface. SECTIONS: The Wednesday section is moving from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, effective this week. It will be taught by Seema, and here is her room link. If you already signed up for another section and would like this time, you may rerun the Section Program to change. FEBRUARY 3, 2012 SATURDAY SECTION: Students attending Calvin's Saturday morning Elluminate section should use Calvin's Room link. This semester each online section will have its own online room - all links will be located on the Section page beginning next week, as well as the links to recordings. We will tell you how to access that page in lecture on Monday. SECTIONS: The section program is now available for you to sign up for sections. The section times will be those shown below, plus an added online (Elluminate) section on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM. TO SIGN UP FOR SECTION, log into your Harvard account on nice.harvard.edu. At the prompt, type the command: ~libe50b/bin/section You will be asked to enter your name, then shown a list of available sections from which you can choose one. If you run the program, then wish to move to a different section, you may re-run the program. You MUST be in a section to submit homework and have it graded! PLEASE NOTE that section sign-up is on a first-come, first-serve basis!! The section program will be available for approximately one week. FEBRUARY 2, 2012 ELLUMINATE SECTIONS: If you are attending one of the Elluminate sections, here is the room link. For more information, see the Extension School web conference guidelines. After drop/add closes, the link will be located on the Section page (when it becomes available).
