This text gives you only the most basic information to begin working
with THE HARVARD KOREAN STUDIES BIBLIOGRAPHY, using the EndNote
Viewer provided on this CD. You will greatly benefit from reading the
short User's Guide we have provided, especially if you are unfamiliar
with this bibliography program.
( 1 ) Install Preferences file: A customized Preferences file is automat-
ically installed on your computer when you first open this
QuickStart text. Be sure to open this text whenever you use the
bibliography CD on a different computer for the first time.
( 2 ) Open a library (bibliographic database file) by (double-)clicking its
( 3 ) Search a library by choosing References from the main menu, then
( 4 ) Open a reference by double-clicking it. You can open up to ten
( 5 ) Print references by first selecting the ones you want to print. Then
( 6 ) Export selected references to popular word processors such as MS

Find from the sub-menu. You can conduct a general search of
all fields for the entire library, or limit your search to a single
field or group of fields [e.g. Title, Keywords, or Language].
You can also refine your search by using limiting operators
such as And, Or, Not, <, or >. Although certain common Boolean
operators such as * and ! do not work with this program, the
search window provides functional equivalents in the form of
MATCH CASE, and MATCH WORD.

Word or WordPerfect: Select the references to be exported, go to

Copy Formatted from the Edit menu. Now paste the formatted
references into your document by selecting Paste from your
word processing program's Edit menu.

empfehlen aber auch unseren kurzen User's Guide zu konsultieren,
insbesondere falls Sie mit diesem Programm bisher noch nicht gearbeitet
haben.

Suchfelder mit Funktionen wie And, Or, Not, < oder > verbinden.
Übliche Wildcards wie * und ! sind in dieses Program in Form
der Equivalente MATCH CASE und MATCH WORD integriert worden.
