In the fall of 1995, the Steering Committee of Harvard's Center for Middle Eastern Studies approved a plan to publish a number of memoirs in order to make them more readily available to the academic community and to publicize the existence of the collection among specialists. Since 1995, the following volumes have been published:

1. Memoirs of Ali Amini (Persian) 1995 & 1997

2. Memoirs of Shapour Bakhtiar (Persian) 1996

3. Memoirs of Prince Hamid Kadjar (English) 1996

4. Memoirs of Amirteymour Kalali (Persian) 1997

5. Memoirs of Abdolmadjid Madjidi (Persian) 1998

6. Memoirs of Fatemeh Pakravan (English) 1998

7. Memoirs of Jafar Sharif-Emami (Persian) 1999

8. Memoirs of Mohammad-Ali Modjtahedi (Persian) 2000

9. Memoirs of Mehdi Hairi-Yazdi (Persian) 2001

10. Memoirs of Mahmoud Foroughi (Persian) 2003

The published memoirs are identical to the original transcripts, except for minor editorial changes. Also footnotes have been added to introduce individuals and places and to explain events. The Harvard Iranian Oral History Series, published by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies of Harvard University is distributed by:
