Services Information
A. Requesting Service
Please call the appropriate facility a minimum of two weeks in advance to reserve services or technician assistance for your course or event.
We will do our best to provide service on shorter notice but we cannot guarantee staff availability. Please note that priority is given to supporting FAS courses and course-related activites restricted to members of one course.
Departmental and administrative events will be supported as our resources allow. In the instance that we do not have personnel available, we will provide referrals to outside media services vendors.
When requesting assistance, please be ready to provide complete information on what you want to be able to do (lecture using a microphone, play a CD, show a video, have live musicians, show slides, etc.).
If your plans change after you request assistance, please let us know about the change as much in advance as possible. We will accommodate change requests as much as possible but cannot guaranntee last minute availability of additional equipment or staff.
We require advance notification if there will be other media services technicians at an event, particularly video crews. We need to coordinate our services with those of the other technicians to ensure a successful outcome for you.
B. Cancelling Service
All cancellations should be called in as much in advance as possible.
Full labor charges are billed for cancelled requests if we are not notified a minimum of two full business days prior to the start of the event.
