The Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum

Harvard's distinguished undergraduate mixed chorus, the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, was founded in the fall of 1971.  Initially conceived as a chamber ensemble from the Harvard Glee Club and Radcliffe Choral Society, the Collegium grew to its present size of sixty voices.  Under the direction of Jameson Marvin since 1978, the Collegium has achieved special recognition for the performance of music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.

Each year the Collegium performs symphonic choral works and a cappella masterpieces from a repertoire spanning the 15th to the 20th centuries.  Seven international tours spanning Europe, the Mediterranean, and North America have garnered the group critical acclaim, and this academic year, the Collegium will perform Händel's Dixit Dominus and various works by Monteverdi, Brahms, Dufay, and Schütz; It continues its tradition of excellence under the direction of Dr. Marvin and assistant conductor Michael McGaghie.

To arrange a visit with the Collegium and Dr. Marvin, please e-mail the choir (hrcm@hcs.harvard.edu) or call Sarah Whitten (617-495-0692).  For more information, go the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum website.
