The final year in History and Literature is devoted to researching and writing the senior thesis. Thesis advisors guide seniors through the process of arriving at a viable topic, developing and following through with a research and writing schedule, crafting a draft chapter by mid-December, and producing the final version of the thesis by February 29. From mid-March to early May, seniors work with their tutors on preparing for the senior oral examination.
