The History Project, in cooperation with J-PAL and the Joint Center for History and Economics, will hold its first conference on November 29-30 2012 at the Media Lab, Silverman Skyline Room, 6th Floor / Building E-14, 75 Amherst Street, MIT. The conference will be concerned with poverty in historical perspective and will examine the economic lives of the poor, in different periods and places. The History Project is supported by the Institute for New Economic Thinking, with the object of encouraging a new generation of historians of the economy and economic life.
