| FY13 Call for Proposals: Harvard China Faculty Grant Program As the major internal funder of Harvard research related to China, the Harvard China Fund administers the Harvard China Faculty Grant Program to advance the research goals of Harvard faculty and improve the education of Harvard students, in collaboration with Chinese partners. The Fund also provides course development grants to faculty in order to support summer research in China leading to the creation of new courses with a focus on China. • Academic excellence and benefit to or involvement of Harvard students Since 2007, the Harvard China Fund has awarded grants totaling over $2 million to 20 recipients from across the University. A sampling of research projects includes: disability law and rights; civil society and nonprofit organizations; crisis management research and training; seismic hazard assessment; economic growth and air pollution control; water purification systems; medical training; insurance access; medical Mandarin; health systems reform; mental health stigma; social injustice; moral and civic engagement; humanities education; village development; landscape and ecological urbanism; archaeology; and cataloguing of local histories.
