With generous financial support from the President and Fellows of Harvard College, the Harvard China Fund and the Harvard Business School have just opened a Harvard China Office in Shanghai. Click here to read the full press release. Following the Olympics, the Harvard China Fund will open a second office in Beijing in November 2008. These offices will:

1) Provide local assistance to Harvard faculty engaged in research, teaching, or other academic activities in Greater China (mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore).

2) Offer on-the-ground services to Harvard students on study and internships programs in Greater China.

3) Facilitate admissions interviews, programmatic events, and otherwise offer assistance to Harvard schools and departments doing work in the region.

4) Coordinate and promote further collaboration between Harvard and Chinese universities and other organizations.

5) Build deeper connections to a growing alumni population in the region.
