Fall/Winter Theme : Immigration

  Regions

Since 1965 more than 20 million immigrants have arrived to the United States, with one million arriving each year during the 1990s. Today the US is experiencing one of the largest waves of immigration in history where 1 in 5 U.S. children are either foreign born or born to immigrant-headed households.

This season's theme explores the identity, history and cultural heritage of US immigrants. We hope the exploration of this theme will encourage educators and students to appreciate the rich diversity both within and beyond the classroom.
