We are currently looking for new FOP leaders!

If you are a Harvard student who is excited to welcome first-year students to Harvard next fall, who wants to learn new things, who is pumped to be a mentor to 6 to 10 students, or who likes the outdoors, community service, canoeing, or just having fun, YOU should apply to be a FOP leader!

We are looking for people from ALL different backgrounds and perspectives, so don't worry if you didn't go on FOP or have never been camping before! We will teach you everything you need to know and more to feel safe leading next fall.

Interested in DONATING to FOP?

We sent out 35 awesome FOP trips this August, giving out just over $29,000 in Financial Aid and outfitting 76% of our trip participants with gear of some sort. Much of this was funded by the 199 donations we recived last fundraising season, which amounted to just over $25,000. So that we can send out just as many great FOP trips next year, our thoughts now turn to FOP fundraising season 2009!

Whether or not you have the money to give to FOP, you may be interested to learn more about how FOP donations are allocated or to read some of the wonderful memories that come out of FOP trips. FOP's 2008 Annual Report, "The Fuzzy Cheesecake" contains contributions from first-years, leaders, leader alums, parents, and staff members from Harvard, past and present, and gives more insight into these topics and our hopes and dreams for the years to come. Keep an eye out for the 2009 version which should be coming out soon!

This fall, we aim to surpass our fundraising totals from last year with the goal of giving out $30,000 in financial aid next year, and funding even more amazing trips. Anything we receive beyond $30,000 we plan to put towards purchasing gear, with the hope of being able to loan gear to every FOPper who requests it. Your gift will help us achieve those goals!
