Information Application The Freshman Arts Program Staff News
FAP

The Freshman Arts Program (FAP) was founded in 1995 by Alan Symonds as a way to introduce incoming freshman to the artistic community at Harvard. Every FAP year is unique, but the atmosphere of complete artistic immersion is constant. In an intense week of creativity, FAPers produce all kinds of artwork to be showcased in a pageant for the rest of the freshman class during orientation.

The program is based on workshops and master classes. In workshops, all FAPers work with our professional resident artists to explore a wide variety of art forms. Master Classes allow students to delve into more specific skills by working with resident artists in smaller groups. We strongly encourage all FAPers to branch out into new areas while contributing skills in more familiar art forms.
