Professor Pini entered the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs after receiving his RSEA master’s degree from Harvard University. For the next 36 years, he served in high-level capacities in Beijing, Seoul, Taipei, Rome, Bangladesh (as ambassador), and finally Shanghai, as consul general in 2003-2006. His current research is on the relations between European countries and the PRC, with specific emphasis on the Italian case. |
