Students:

I want my voice to be heard. How do I make sure that what I write is displayed in the online Q tool?
During course evaluation registration, course heads are asked to make a decision about whether or not to display text responses to various questions on the evaluation form. Currently, the online Q application displays all responses to the question "What would you like to tell future students about this class?" If the course head chose to display this information, your comments will be displayed.

Is there a way to search for an instructor using the Q Guide?
No. Not currently. This is a feature that we would like to offer in the future.

Will my professors or teaching fellows have access to my comments before grades are submitted?
No. Instructors and TFs will only receive their courses' evaluation results after their final grades for the semester have been submitted to the Office of the Registrar.

I login before filling out the forms. How can the online evaluations possibly be anonymous?
Your comments and evaluations are completely anonymous to your course instructors and TFs. No identifying information (such as HUID or name) will be passed on to them, nor will they be able to link this information to your responses.

Will the evaluation reports contain demographic information that might possibly be used to identify me?
The system does not report any demographic information such as your HUID. We report only the information contained in your verbatim responses.

I am trying to fill out my course evaluations and cannot find my instructor.
If your instructor does not appear in either of the menus for Instructor or Section Leader, write to evals@fas.harvard.edu with your instructor's name and email address. Your instructor will be added.

Cross-registered students who have not yet been assigned a Harvard cross-registration identification (ID) number should contact the Educational Records Office to request their official cross-registration number by telephone at (617) 495-4655 for Undergraduates, or (617) 495-1519 for Graduates.
