The 2006-2007 Jazz program consists of a 20-piece big band and a combo (small ensemble). The Dudley House Jazz Band changes its instrumentation and repertoire each year depending on the students who participate. Most years the ensemble is a big band, other years the musicians form a small or large combo or two combos. No matter what instrument you play and regardless of your musical background, if you are a Harvard student who is interested in playing or singing with us, please contact the ensemble director, Dudley Fellow Marc Gidal (gidal@fas.harvard.edu).

At the end of each semester, the Dudley House Jazz Band plays a concert at Dudley House which always draws a large, enthusiastic audience. During the Spring Semester, the ensemble also plays dance music for the ever popular Spring Swing Dance at Dudley House. Weekly rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at Dudley House. Auditions are held at the beginning of the year or whenever necessary for new members.
