Lina Weiss
"etc"

My visually poetic interpretation for infinity is made of wood (aluminum), and mirror and photo. It measures 10" in height, 12"long, 6"deep. I took the photo on Miami Beach, and wrote the word infinity on the sand. The poetry is to be read out loud.
As a graphic artist, my aim is to take art to higher levels. In this way, I continue to grow professionally and personally. Inspiration.... The ocean has an endless performance. There are no boundaries or timelines. Likewise, the timeless grains of sand found on the beaches of Florida are forever changing. Both the sand as well as the ocean served as the inspiration for this piece and for the poem entitled, Et Cetera.
define, restrain, desist,
contain, extreme, resist,
halt, expire, blight,
limit, end, finite.boundless, release, continuance,
transcending, beginning, pursuance,
unceasing, ageless, immensity,
limitless, endless, infinity.-Lina Weiss
Lina Weiss is a graduate student in graphic design at Florida Atlantic University. She strives to depict language in two ways: first, by depicting the meaning of written language in a 3 dimensional sculptural form and second, in a multi-sensory pictorial form. Both of these forms when successfully depicted will ultimately fuse the word and the image with poetic sensibilities.
